Hello everyone, my name is Rebecca! I'm in my second semester of graduate school and am working in the Stachura Laboratory. I received my bachelor's degree in Microbiology with a focus in Clinical Laboratory Science at California State University, Chico in 2019. After I received my degree, I spent some time in various industries such as health care, agriculture and biotechnology. I returned to Chico State at the start of 2022 to work on a master's degree with a focus in Biological Sciences. The focus of my thesis is to investigate the upregulation of master regulatory genes in zebrafish stromal cells to create muscle and adipose tissue in the hopes of creating a lab grown fish filet.
